Students employees primarily use work to build up their resume and skill set. They will be much more apt to receiving feedback and asking questions which makes for great employees.

If the position you’re looking to fill requires a unique skill set, you may have a better experience hiring someone that already has those skills instead of one you have to train from the start.
Schoolwork will be a priority
When hiring a regular employee, you expect them to make work their top priority. With student workers, you have to accept that their school work will be their primary focus. So depending on your business, it may be difficult to schedule them for certain hours of the day.
