Wayne Goshkarian

Wayne Goshkarian

Director of Communications

Wayne Goshkarian is a born entrepreneur. It was evident that he had the entrepreneurial spirit when at age 11 he began cross selling cleaning products to his established 50-home newspaper route. AFEUSA is excited to have Wayne as the Director of Communications to bring his insight as a lifelong entrepreneur. Goshkarian has been a featured speaker at industry conferences including NAPES and MI2 and has contributed numerous articles to Life Insurance Selling, The Business Journal, Nations Business, Employee Benefit News, and Workforce Magazine, among others.

In the early 1980’s, Wayne took a position with Mutual of New York in Oxford England which kicked off his career financial planning for Americans living in Europe. In the 1990’s, Goshkarian turned his attention to worksite marketing, identifying opportunities that had been overlooked by most all insurance brokers. He applied his cornerstone philosophy, “people want to do business with people with integrity and honesty,” and worked to bring in a new generation of the worksite marketing approach.

Throughout his career, Wayne Goshkarian has continued to redefine standard industry practices. In 1993 he developed a laptop enrollment system to communicate core benefits and voluntary benefits 10 years before the industry considered digital methods. One of the first of its kind, it was a big success. The first laptop enrollment was launched at a large hotel and casino in Las Vegas with 8,000 employees followed by Red Lion Hotels and Ameristar Casinos.

In 1999, Wayne Goshkarian turned to the worldwide web and helped to develop a web-based enrollment system for employees to check their benefits and change their profiles. His company Dylan Consulting redefines worksite methods through the application of cutting-edge technology. He sees Dylan Consulting as pioneers of the 21st century as they give back to the client and do good things for them while dealing fairly with the brokers. Wayne has consulted, enrolled and provided services to companies like Safeway Foods, Mariner Post-Acute Network, Children’s Hospital, Red Lion Hotels, Rio Hotel and Casino, Ameristar Casino and many other large national companies.

Wayne is a true industry leader, one who develops solutions well before anyone thinks about the problem.
