Do your research
Take the time to investigate the company you are interviewing with. Research their background, mission statement, sales, employees, and accomplishments. General interest in the company as well as preexisting knowledge will present you as a candidate for their company. Be interested!
Answer sample questions
After familiarizing yourself with the company that you are applying to, brainstorm some questions the interviewer may ask you. Take the time to create well-thought-out responses to refer to when you are asked the questions. Think about your previous experience and what qualifies you for the job. Practice speaking slowly and clearly.
Create a list of references
Come prepared with a list of references from your previous job experience. While not always necessary, references are an added piece of credibility as well as preparedness.
Take deep breaths
Nervousness before an interview is entirely normal. While seeming elementary, paying attention to your breathing as you prepare for an interview will settle your nerves and enhance your performance!
Be confident
Lastly, like in most situations, confidence is key. If you prepare well, your confidence will come naturally. Do yourself a favor and equip for the interview, dress for success; hiring you will be a no-brainer!
