It seems Americans are following suit of other countries and are beginning to decrease the hours spent working in the office. Recent polls show a 20% decrease in work commutes post COVID-19 pandemic. This is shown in many major corporations, such as Apple, JP Morgan, and Microsoft, who are now allowing their employees to work from home rather than expecting them to work in the office.

With the ability to work from home becoming more regular, business owners are beginning to see the potential advantage this will have for their company. With employees spending less time commuting to work they can make better use of their time. Better quality and effort can now be focused on their work. Deadlines will be met with greater ease. All of which will contribute to the growth and success of your business.

Stress can have a major impact on the work you produce. On a personal level, those commuting to work less often will reap many benefits. Having this flexibility within your work schedule will contribute to a better over-all happiness, with less stress.  We all know how infuriating it can be when we are stuck in traffic. As life has begun to resume after the Pandemic, many still feel concerns about the possibility of exposure. Overall, this helps with the ability to work from the comfort and safety of their own home and offers them that security needed.

The positive effects will not only reach individuals, but to our planet as well. With less vehicles on the roadways, that will help lower emissions rates. It will slow down the global warming issues we face today. Improve accident rates. And with the recent gas prices soaring like they are, I think we can all agree that the need to travel less will make our bank accounts happier.
