The majority of people I encounter make a huge mistake: They send emails or texts without the willingness to make a phone call or follow-up.

Here’s what I mean: I introduce people continuously to each other via Genius Networking. I then follow up with them to ask them if they ever ended up connecting. Sometimes I’ll hear back that they exchanged emails, but never ended up getting together or really connecting.

They say the words, “We should get together for lunch”… but they never do.

Part of what I’ve learned being a Genius Networker is that you have to be persistent in your follow up without coming across as annoying.

You need to do it in a way where people feel appreciated and acknowledged. Your follow up has to show concern for the other person. It has to be intentional – and the way most people do things is not intentional.

Whether you’re making money, changing the world, or saving a life… if what you’re doing in your business or your life is important, an email or text is never enough.
