If you want to package yourself, one way to think about it is to find an existing model you love and then wrap your expertise or knowledge around it – or – you can sit down and write the sales letter selling YOU.
To package (and get paid for) your expertise and knowledge, sit down and write the sales letter selling the ultimate solution you wish existed. Don’t be too concerned with whether it will be an online program, or in person, or delivered by others, and so on. There are a lot of different ways you can deliver the expertise. What you need to first identify is what you’re actually selling people.
Sit down and write out the pitch. If you’re unsure how you’re going to deliver it, call it “glop”. Figure out what the “glop” is going to be, and then select your target market.
Ask yourself: “Who am I going to be writing to?” Answering this clearly will help you focus on who you want to be a hero to and what you’re passionate about.
Also, don’t censor yourself as you write the pitch. Don’t overanalyze. You can correct and edit things later.
