As an entrepreneur, you are more times than not on the go. With traveling, work productivity can be a challenge. Stay on top of your game. Make a plan. Be proactive. And smash those entrepreneurial goals.

One simple, yet critical way to stay productive is by creating a written plan. Investing in a planner or journal can help with this. Because you are your own boss, you have flexibility in your schedule. I encourage you to create your own deadlines and be strict when meeting them. Create a plan of events, meetings, work time, and downtime before you travel.

Be productive in the airport and on the plane. Find a corner in the airport and get to work while you wait for your flight.

Maintain a healthy routine. Traveling frequently can affect your immune system, diet, and sleep routine. When possible, get outside and exercise. Pack healthy snacks to avoid the convenience of fast food. Having these habits will also allow for some healthy downtime needed in the midst of a hard work week.

Take advantage of the impromptu networking opportunities. While traveling, make conversations with the strangers next to you. You never truly know what they do, or who they know without having that conversation with a stranger.

Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks to your teammates while away. Productivity cannot be done solely on one’s own. With that written plan on hand, start striking off some of those to-do lists with your co-workers to get the most out of your trip.

If working is not possible during your travels, there are still ways to benefit from that time. Listen to podcasts! Fill your mind with educational or motivational thoughts through various podcasts. This will help your mind be prepared to be productive when you get the chance.

Traveling is meant to be fun! Be in the moment. When done right, productivity is not impossible. Take control of your environment. Charge up all your devices. And master the road ahead!
