Effective communication in business isn’t just about pointing out what’s wrong; it’s about highlighting what’s right and finding ways to enhance it. It’s about building up, not tearing down. In my experience, the most effective way to communicate is to focus on improvement and positive reinforcement, while also being open to sharing and receiving genuine feedback.

In our interactions, it’s crucial to be mindful of the words we use. For instance, throwing around terms like ‘love’ too loosely can sometimes backfire. It’s not about the word itself, but the authenticity behind it. When communication seems disingenuous or manipulative, it doesn’t resonate well, regardless of how effective it might seem.

At Genius Network, we deeply care about our clients. However, caring also means setting boundaries and being honest. Whether it’s a 10-Minute Talk or a day-long event, it’s vital to ensure that what’s being presented is genuinely helpful, not just a veiled sales pitch. Authenticity and transparency are key.

Ultimately, it’s about being the kind of person others find E.L.F. (Easy, Lucrative, and Fun) to interact with. This doesn’t mean sacrificing your values or goals; it’s about aligning your communication style with your genuine self and your business ethics.

When I give people money-making ideas, it can come across as simple. Yet, what isn’t so simple is training your brain to think like a marketer. I can’t download that as quickly to anyone. You also have to read books and absorb the material. You should go through courses and programs. You may even have to join groups.

Learn how to communicate, how to write effective copy, and be willing to go through the initial failures of trying to get your offer right. When you sell, you need to do a damn good job delivering everything you sell so that when people get your product/service, they consider it the best money they ever spent in their life. After they get your product/service, they then need to be willing to continue another month with you while referring you to their friends. Most people don’t have the bandwidth, cojones or stamina for all this. Yet, if done right, it could make you a millionaire.
