When someone says, “I don’t want to play games,” what they’re really saying is, “I don’t want to get hurt.”
People love to play and WIN games. When you are winning games, you’ll play all day long…
So, how do you win more games? Set up games so you win. One of the best ways to do it? MAKE SURE OTHER PEOPLE WIN. Playing Win-Lose games makes no sense. There’s more value in RELATIONSHIPS than Transactions.
Just look at the Lifetime Value of a Client. It requires a good relationship. With a good relationship, you will have happy Clients that refer you.
The truth is, you don’t have to be a Brilliant Marketer to have success in business. Sure, it helps to be intelligent. But what works is simply being better than the other business. When you’re so good at what you do, people will WANT to give you the business. You don’t have to use trickery to enroll people. If you are selling something that is not valuable for somebody, then get out of it as quickly as you can. Sell something else. Don’t force yourself to live a life where you can’t go to bed at night feeling proud…
The responsibility for this is YOURS. You CAN do something about it. Some people truly are victims, but, as an adult, you don’t get any power out of being a victim. As it says on a sign at the gym I work out at: “Effort is your responsibility.”
