If you look at most of the breakthroughs you’ve had in your life, most of them probably came out of an area of life that just wasn’t working. There was pain, and you had to navigate through it. When you have to figure something out, tap into resourcefulness, or develop a skill, talent, or capability to get through difficult situations, it breeds breakthroughs.
Things are seldom valued when they aren’t EARNED. It’s like someone who is born on third base and thinks they hit a triple.
You can actually handicap yourself and others by expecting things, IN THE BEGINNING, to fall into your lap. Rarely are things E.L.F.® (Easy, Lucrative, and Fun!) in the beginning. You have to set up the foundation in order to get the conditions of developing an E.L.F. Business and Life.
There’s a motto that says, “Don’t work hard; Work smart.” Yet, it’s really about working hard on smart things in the beginning. If you set up those conditions, it can be really E.L.F. Some people work on difficult, hard things, and derive no joy, no real value, and no profits from their efforts. If they just understood, and took seriously, the quote from W. Clement Stone, “Little Hinges Swing Big Doors”, it would totally and positively shift their business and life.
