During the holidays, we often find ourselves rushing to get our loved ones the perfect gifts, but what about our customers? A holiday gift is a great way to endear yourself to consumers, but finding the perfect present can be a real hassle. What is appropriate? What is too much? If you’re struggling with this question as we get closer to the holidays, here are a couple of tricks you need to know.

Get Something They Can Use

The best gifts are ones with year-round appeal like calendars, nice pens, or even fun mouse pads. If you’re in a business to business industry, personalized office equipment like this can make a significant impact. Consider getting gifts that are universally useful, as you’ll probably be sending them to many different kinds of customers. Whatever you choose, make sure to keep an eye on prices. Even a small gift racks up costs quickly when you’re sending it to a lot of clients!

Make A Donation

Consider making a charitable donation in the name of your consumers. Find a charity that closely aligns with their values or one they already work with. This will create goodwill between you and the other company while providing them with free and effective marketing. You can even leverage this into a holiday marketing campaign by announcing it on your social media channels.

In general, I would stray away from any candy or seasonal treats. They’re a nice gesture, but due to dietary restrictions, not everyone enjoys them.
