I know that if I am not comfortable then I cannot work effectively. Sometimes it can be hard to find the right place to work, my workspace is my local coffee shop. The trick is finding the right coffee shop for you.

It is super simple to find local coffee shops through your internet search browser or maps on your phone. Pick out a few that look decent and try it out, you never know what you may find.

I personally prefer a small business; they tend to bring in more comfort and a touch of uniqueness. Not to mention the fact you could also help a small business.

The first thing I notice when entering is the vibe. Is it light? Do customers seem happy? Are people chatting or working? You want a place that feels like you can sit down and enjoy yourself, not a grab n’ go those rushes you out the door once you have been served.

Ask yourself, can I be productive in this space? You do not want an environment that is too chaotic either. It can cause a lot of distractions and can throw you off track.

More lenient environments have music playing in the background and different style seating for you to get comfy. I love to work while sitting in cozy booths or a snug couch. You also need to be able to sit in that chair for a long period of time.

Of course, there is the most important and obvious question, do you like their drinks? You do not want to work in a place where you just tolerate their menu, you need a delicious drink that can perk you up!

Don’t settle for a mediocre workspace, go out and find the place that works for you.
