Business is solving problems for a profit.
If you are a great identifier of problems, and figure out how to make a profit solving problems for people, and become really good at solving a series of problems (or even one problem)… you have a lot of the game figured out. But the key is… you want to do this in a way that is E.L.F.® (Easy, Lucrative & Fun!), as opposed to doing it in a way that is H.A.L.F™ (Hard, Annoying, Lame, and Frustrating).
You want an E.L.F Business, not a H.A.L.F Business. This also applies to PEOPLE. I only want to hang out with people that are E.L.F. – not people that are H.A.L.F.
If you can fill your professional and personal life with more E.L.F. people and projects, and less H.A.L.F. people and projects, that’s the name of the game.
Here’s five questions to ask yourself:
- What projects in your Business and life are H.A.L.F.? How could you outsource, eliminate, or delegate these?
- What projects in your Business and life are E.L.F.? How could you enhance and do more of these?
- What people in your Business and life are H.A.L.F.? What could you do about these relationships?
- What people in your Business and life are E.L.F.? How could you invest more time, energy, and resources into them?
- Where and how does your health make your Business and life H.A.L.F. – and… where and how does your health make your Business and life E.L.F? What are you going to do to make it less H.A.L.F. and more E.L.F?
