What is a gig worker you might ask, it is someone who is self-employed and often works as a freelancer for companies. Types of gig workers
There are five main types of gig workers: freelance, consultant, independent contractors, temps, and seasonal workers. Freelancers perform services for a variety of clients, consultants provide guidance, and independent contractors are similar to a standard employee, but they mainly work for themselves. Lastly, temps and seasonal workers are employed for a certain amount of time.

A fair share of gig workers are currently using DoorDash and Uber as a way to bring in cash.
