After an elimination period (14 or 30 days, depending on your chosen plan), the plan can provide benefits for up to 52 weeks. Under a Group Accident Disability Income plan, if a covered person is injured in an accident and unable to work, the policy will provide a portion of their salary as disability income, up to the maximum benefit purchased. It’s important to note that a Group Accident Disability Income plan is not a replacement for health insurance, as it only covers injuries resulting from accidents, not illnesses or other health issues.
