Deciding where and how to promote your brand plays a critical role in your business. Over half of marketing done for businesses is done digitally these days. This is why it’s important to become familiar with and stay on top of what’s trending right now. Ultimately, this decision can either steer your business to an increase in sales, or not. Here to help are some marketing trends that you should expect to see as we make our way into the year 2023.

1. Influencers are becoming established brand ambassadors
It will probably come as no surprise that social media influencers are here to stay. At least for the mean time. Expect to see an influx in influencers using social media sites such as TikTok and Instagram to promote brands as more and more companies will follow this route.

2. Video based content
Gone are the days of reading long, drawn out texts online. Todays generations want to be captivated. It’s far more appealing, and entertaining, for us to watch a video, with moving graphics, that can give us all the information we need in a far shorter time then reading it would take. Businesses are taking note and turning to videos on platforms such as Facebook Because this method requires the user to stay on the site longer than they would otherwise.

3. Real time messaging
You’ve probably already noticed this option popping up while online and it will only become more regular for it is seen as valuable for the companies and customers alike. Providing, in real time, the ability to have your questions or concerns addressed right away is exactly what consumers are wanting. It offers a more personalized experience for the user which makes them happy, and likely to return.

4. Outsourcing digital marketing
This trend seems to be catching on. Outsourcing to digital marketing companies is another trend that’s building in momentum. Rather than employing an entire marketing team, businesses are beginning to see the benefits of hiring digital marketing agencies to help get their brand to the public. By using a knowledgeable agency to promote their brand, they are able to target the appropriate audiences and social media sites which is more efficient for the company.

5. AI-based assistants
Chatbots and other AI technology will become more integrated in the digital marketing world. Chatbots already offer the fastest way to contact a business. As this technology advances it will be able to offer more accurate and personalized experiences for the user.

So, if you’re interested in keeping up with the newest marketing trends consider incorporating some, if not all, of these strategies into your marketing plan if you haven’t done so already.
