Blogger Branding:

Blogger branding: mistakes. A common mistake bloggers make is overlooking the importance of building a brand. They create content according to their heart’s desire but fail to think about the image they want to present to their audience.

When you share your content on social media platforms, your viewers want to know what they can expect from you. Blogger branding a brand will make you recognizable and help you stand out in a crowd (or Facebook feed!)
Here are some ways to build a memorable brand as a blogger:

Choose Your URL With Care

Which of these two URLs do you think are more likely to have recurring visitors: emilyaftonbradyhasallthebloggingsecretsyouneedtoknow.com, or bloggingsecrets.com? Sometimes, simplicity is the best and easiest way to get your audience to remember you. You’re going to want to have a unique and memorable brand name that is relevant to your content.

Give Your Viewers Something Unique

When building a brand, ask yourself this question: What do I have to offer that other sites don’t? This will help you determine what content you can create that will bring your viewers back. They’ll know that can turn to you to get the content they’re looking for.

Choose Your Blog’s Theme

Blogger branding: theme. Your blog’s theme is more than just the background to your posts – it’s the image your viewers will remember. If done right, you can also shape other platforms to your blog’s theme – business cards, websites, social media layouts and so forth can all fit your blog’s theme and color palette.
Think about the standard Facebook blue. As Facebook has changed throughout the years, one thing that has stayed the same is its color. Now, whenever people see that color anywhere else, they think of Facebook. That’s branding done right. How will you apply that same idea for your blog? (Speaking of Facebook, consider using your social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, G+ etc. to push your posts out as part of your content marketing for bloggers campaign.)

Determine Your Digital Outputs

Is your blog just going to consist of writing, or will you have videos, audio, photos or graphics? I personally prefer to have more types of curation than just words, but it’s all up to you. If you do decide to incorporate more digital aspects, be consistent and qualitative.

Develop a Blog Personality

Blogger Branding: Personality. Whatever type of blog you might have, be sure to have the same voice in all your posts. That’s not to say if one post is serious, the rest have to be serious. But when you write, don’t be a robot. Be a person who your readers get to know through your words or other outputs. Write like you’re speaking to them. Be casual and friendly. Make jokes, tell personal stories, thank your followers and subscribers and apologize if your thoughts and jumbled or your newest post was published a day later than you expected. Be real. Once you get that down, the rest of the steps to branding will fall into place.
