March is just around the corner, and it’s Women’s History Month. While women still only compose a tiny fraction of leaders at top companies in the US, that number is growing, and American girls have more and more female role models in business every year. Here are three of 2020’s most impressive women in business:

Indra Nooyi

Indra Nooyi was PepsiCo’s CEO for 12 years, and while she recently stepped down from that position, she supervised multiple high-impact acquisitions like Tropicana and Quaker Oats during her time at PepsiCo. Nooyi, who was born in India, is currently serving on the board of Amazon as part of the audit committee.

Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg has ranked as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Business” by Fortune magazine eight times since 2007. As the COO of Facebook, Sandberg is one of only a few female tech executives. She is the founder of the Lean In Foundation, a nonprofit organization that launched after the publication of Sandberg’s best-selling book, “Lean In.” The Lean In Foundation works to promote women and their goals through community, education, and structured peer group meetings.

Ursula Burns

Ursula Burns was named the chairwoman of VEON in 2017, but before that, she was the CEO of Xerox and helped shepherd the company into the digital age. But perhaps what is even more impressive about Burns is that she was born into poverty and raised by a single mother in a housing project. Burns is the first African American woman to lead a Fortune 500 Company.
