With vaccines becoming more common across the country, you may be very excited (as are your older loved ones!) to visit your parents or grandparents again. Here are a few ways you can spend that valuable time together again!

No. 1: Lots of hugs.
Of course, this is the priority! Don’t hesitate to give as many hugs as you need to make up for lost time.

No. 2: Go on a walk.
Everyone has been going on walks throughout the pandemic, even while on calls with their parents or grandparents. Here’s a chance to enjoy that walk with your loved ones in person. Getting a little sunlight and natural scenery with others is always a good time.

No. 3: Draw pictures of each other.
Even if nobody considers themselves an artist, that only makes this game even more fun! Take a little time to appreciate each others’ features and draw a picture the way you know how to. You might be pleasantly surprised (or just very amused!) at the results you’ll get.

No. 4: Bake, bake, and then bake some more.
Cooking and baking together is always a wonderful way to bond with our families. You’ll also want to learn your family’s recipes before the next generation departs. So, bring over a few ingredients and start baking your family’s classics, or if your family is feeling adventurous, try out a new recipe!

No. 5: Go on a picnic.
Combine the cooking and walking activities by going on a family picnic! Consider taking a drive to local spots you don’t make it out to often. We’re still in the full swing of spring — it’s time to go out and enjoy the weather before it gets too hot.
